Job Details:
Our rapidly growing construction company is seeking an Estimator in Denver who has experience with bidding multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in construction general contracting. This position offers a high level of responsibility and the opportunity to contribute significantly to our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with estimating costs, managing bids, and overseeing project budgets. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and coordinating project estimates and bids, including reviewing project plans and specifications.
2. Utilizing estimating software to calculate costs and prepare detailed estimates.
3. Evaluating and analyzing subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy.
4. Managing the bid process from receiving initial project documents to final bid submission.
5. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
6. Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and proposing budget-friendly solutions.
7. Keeping detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms.
8. Maintaining knowledge of current industry trends and local construction costs.
9. Participating in project meetings and providing updates on cost-related issues.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of three years of estimating experience in construction general contracting.
2. Proven experience in multifamily projects is a must.
3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
4. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
6. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
7. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
