The Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing project costs, preparing bids, and providing analytical support for our construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver accurate estimates for various construction projects, including commercial and educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project specifications and requirements.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scopes and develop accurate estimates.
- Review and evaluate bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain a database of historical costs and benchmark data for future estimates.
- Monitor and report on project costs and budget variances during construction phases.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Experience estimating costs for commercial and educational construction projects.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
