NOTE: 2 open positions, 3+ YEARS ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE / THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS SOMEONE WITH METAL FABRICATION EXPERIENCE.
Job Description:
Provide accurate pricing, routings and materials from customer supplied blueprints. Work with various departments involved with the manufacturing process of the quoted product. This is a fast-paced job and requires a balance of strong technical skills as well as great communication and ability to multitask.
Summary of essential Job functions
Ø Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Ø Identifies labor, material, and outsourcing requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Ø Figure set-ups and run times based off of customer specs
Ø Quickly generate accurate estimates of time and costs to build component parts and assemblies
Ø Quotes that are won will be prepared for the manufacturing departments
Ø Verify job routings, materials and applicable Requisition Forms at time of Purchase Order
Summary of secondary Job functions
Ø Create estimates/quotes for custom metal fabrications
Ø Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications required.
Ø JobBOSS software experience is a plus
Ø Computer skills with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
Ø Blueprint reading
Ø Fabrication and welding knowledge
Ø Must be able to work as a team or individually without constant supervision
Ø Ability to stay self-motivated and work well in a team atmosphere
Ø Must be able to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ø Must have strong attention to detail
Ø Strong communication and organizational skills.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school with Metal Fabrication Experience and Estimating exp.
Associates w/experience in Metal Fabrication
