DDS specializes in the construction of complex commercial Heavy Civil site projects. Without accurate proposals, estimates and competitive bid packages we cannot successfully win and complete these projects. The Estimator role is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.

This position is required to perform the following functions:
- Prepares and maintains the status of plans and specifications.
- Solicits and maintains communications with subcontractors and vendors.
- Assists in the preparation of bid packages.
- Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
- Thoroughly review and ensure that any changes prior to the bid deadline are implemented within the proposal.
- Reviews and relays all information stated within the Geotechnical Reports.
Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must know MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 2 – 4 years related experience
- Previous heavy civil and site work estimating experience.
- B2W or other similar estimating software.
