Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Estimator to join their growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and exceptional number-crunching skills. You will play a critical role in the financial planning of our projects, from analyzing costs and creating budgets to identifying areas of potential financial risk. You will also be responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing company bids, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and other departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver accurate and competitive cost estimations for projects in a timely manner.
2. Prepare, review, and present comprehensive project bids.
3. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
4. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Liaise with vendors and suppliers for cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
6. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all queries and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in cost estimation.
8. Utilize engineering expertise to provide innovative solutions and improve cost-efficiency.
9. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members.
10. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and sales pitches.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in cost estimation or a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Proficient in bid preparation and project management.
3. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
4. Exceptional vendor management skills, with a proven track record of negotiating and securing cost-effective deals.
5. Comfortable with occasional office visits
