SUMMARY: A dynamic and expanding software company headquartered in Houston is seeking a seasoned SQL Developer to join their team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. Reporting to the VP of Development, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing development, growth, and support of the product (s) footprints.

- Develop and maintain scripts for exporting data from various payroll and HR software systems, transforming this data, and importing it into the product.
- Optimize and maintain both existing and new SQL database queries and stored procedures.
- Code, test, debug, and implement changes to data-driven applications and libraries, supporting complex systems.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues related to application performance, system latency, and infrastructure and network products.
- Demonstrate the ability to solve real-world problems using efficient and well-crafted algorithms.
- Engage in tasks beyond writing boilerplate code or user interfaces, showing a deep interest in complex system development.
- Provide development and production support alongside other team members.
- Generate reports and create interfaces for data conversion and reporting.
- Collaborate with managers to understand feature specifications and estimate project timelines.
- Develop conversion, interface, and reporting programs.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, finance, or engineering is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience with MSSQL Server in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including stored procedures and Transact-SQL.
- Extensive knowledge of SSMS and SSRS.
- Understanding of complex query design and best practices to prevent performance issues and deadlocking.
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting query performance across multiple environments.
- Ability to design scalable complex systems.
- Preferred knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, and accounting.
- Proficiency in C#.
- Experience with ASP.Net and .Net Core.
- Familiarity with JSON objects, asynchronous JavaScript, and XML (AJAX).
