Scope:
Reports to: Senior Manager, Business Intelligence – Business
Summary: This individual will play the lead ETL role in developing and maintaining the database that supports and monitors the Carrier Ethernet business. The ETL Developer will be responsible for working at the database layer and compose packages in both TSQL and SSIS. This individual will also interact with management in Corporate and the local markets to utilize the metrics and analytics to enhance the Business Services user experience.

- Develops automated file retrieval from shared folders, FTP, Servers, and other data sources into warehouse
- Determines methodology for properly loading data to database
- Solely responsible for composing all transformation packages in TSQL / SSIS
- Leads in the operations and development of the data warehouse. Develops and implements data models used for tracking and measuring productivity and performance.
- Provide in-depth analysis of operational data to perform root cause analysis, improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction. Surfaces recurring problems with work processes, policies, or procedures. Suggests ways to resolve problems to serve customers better and/or to improve productivity.
- Evaluates new projects and opportunities. Identifies and implements new reporting solutions to provide accurate and detailed project analyses.
- Utilize spreadsheets, databases, and reporting software to design and generate reports as requested. Develops distribution protocol for requested information.
- Works alongside OBIEE developer to produce the backend data needed for OBIEE dashboards.
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2012 (v. 11.0.2100.60)
- Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS) 2012 (v. 11.0.2100.60)
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) 2012 (v. 11.0.2100.60)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Expert SQL skills
- Expert knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling and ETL required.
- Expert knowledge with SQL Server 2012 / SSIS required
- Minimum 4 yrs experience in an ETL/database function. Experience in the telecommunications or finance industry a plus.
- Experience with working with team members who build analytical, business metric reports and scorecards.
- A high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem solving is required
- Knowledge of other reporting software: MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, and VBA.
- Demonstrated flexibility, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and ability to multi-task
- Good interpersonal, verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team. Able to ask for help.
- Self-motivated, high energy. Able to work in constantly changing and often stressful environment
- OBIEE
- Telecommunications or Finance Industry experience
