Position Description:
The event associate is responsible for executing administrative event related support tasks on behalf of our clients and has a high degree of interaction both internally and externally. Events supported include educational programs, luncheons, seminars, galas, golf tournaments, and a variety of other special events for multiple nonprofit professional societies, trade associations and charitable foundations. This position requires the ability to change gears quickly addressing multiple tasks on a regular basis.
Assignment Focus:
- Ensuring all tasks necessary to orchestrate a successful event are executed efficiently and effectively and coordinated with the Event Managers and Association Executives.
- Ensuring exceptional service delivery in the production of events.
- Ensuring all assigned activities are completed in a timely fashion.
- Updating client websites and content management.
- Supporting speaker management process.
- Coordinating web content management development and updates.
- Developing and editing print and digital content.
Position Requirements:
- University degree in hospitality, business, marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years office experience required
- Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations
- Ability to problem solve and work independently in changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines
- Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
- Proven ability to take direction and input that will achieve the organization's goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
- Solid business acumen, management and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), event management technologies, and customer relationship management software
- Ability to travel is required
- Reliable transportation is required
Standard work hours: M-F, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, some evenings and weekends required
