About Powisset Farm:
Historic 109-acre Powisset Farm is a beautiful, beloved part of the Dover, MA community and is owned by The Trustees, Massachusetts oldest and largest land conservation organization. Powisset Farm is home to a 300-person organic vegetable CSA, year-round public programming and a network of trails for passive recreation, which connect to an additional 2,000+ acres of open space. Powisset’s robust culinary program includes cooking classes for all ages in its teaching kitchen, with a focus on farm-fresh, locally sourced food wherever possible. Immersive culinary programs and private chef’s table dinners are also popular offerings. The farm’s programming regularly incorporates food prepared at the farm, including the farm’s popular farm-fresh wood fired brick oven pizza. The Powisset Farm Store sells food prepared at the farm and Powisset’s popular children’s summer camp, Farmer, Forester, Chef! features a cooking class for campers each day.
About The Organization:
The Trustees is an organization with a fascinating past and an exciting future. Our places are open to all, and we thrive by involving as many people as possible in what we do. Founded in 1891, by a group of visionary volunteers, we preserve, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts and work to protect special places across the state. We have helped protect more than 50,000 acres, including 25,000+ acres on more than 100 reservations that are all open to the public. We are a nonprofit conservation organization funded and supported entirely by our visitors, supporters, volunteers, and more than 40,000 members.
