Job Summary



The Event Coordinator handles the administration of paperwork and approvals for Events. They are responsible for organizing all required documentation and serving as a liaison between the Event Planners and the Events Committee.





Key Responsibilities:



+ Manage the shared events mailbox to include receiving new requests and follow-up emails to existing requests


+ Review new requests to ensure all required information is included. Follow up to collect missing information as needed.


+ Add new requests to the Events Spreadsheet and track required documentation.


+ Present new requests to the Events Committee during scheduled calls in a concise and professional manner, and make recommendations for a decision


+ Notify clients and Event Planners of the committee’s decision and required paperwork, along with any relevant policies that must be followed


+ Create documents to issue to clients


+ Ensure that all paperwork is received, verified and filed for each event







Preferred Qualifications:



+ High School Diploma /GED required, Associates degree in hospitality management, communications or other related field is preferred


+ Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in hospitality industry


+ Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook


+ Ability to multi-task; managing multiple projects and work assignment


+ Ability to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events


+ Tact in working with professional peers from other departments and all subordinates


+ Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and juggle many tasks simultaneously
