Event Facilitator - Rise Against Hunger

Starting pay = $25.00/ hour
THIS IS A PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION WORKING AS NEEDED.
As an Event Coordinator you’ll facilitate volunteers through our meal packing experience so it runs smoothly and hosts are satisfied. You’ll drive equipment and materials to and from the event in a box truck (no CDL license needed). You will represent Rise Against Hunger with hosting groups and use your outgoing personality and public speaking skills to empower volunteers to join our mission to end hunger, one event at a time!

- You possess superb interpersonal skills and a passion to engage and connect with volunteers
- You employ sound judgment in decision making or problem resolution
- You’re able to complete tasks with minimal direction.
- You’re comfortable reaching out to and securing new and potential partners.
- You’re able to leverage social media as a tool to communicate and drive event participation
- You take initiative to get things done, action oriented.
- You are passionate about being a part of the change in the world and helping Rise Against Hunger in its mission to end global hunger.
- You are comfortable working with faith-based groups of all different religions.
Requirements
- You are age 21 years or older
- Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite as well as other cloud-based software
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with a willingness to drive a box truck to transport materials to and from events
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including frequently lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification (DOT does not allow any history of marijuana use even for medicinal purposes)
- Flexibility to work weekends as well as some evenings and early mornings.
- Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
- Experience with non-profit work is helpful but not required
