In our classic Mission experience, teams wearing hazmat suits go through a series of interactive game rooms, including a laser maze, before facing the World's Largest Paint Bomb! Our original Brooklyn location opened in 2018. We now have locations in Atlanta and Washington D.C. We've hosted over 300,000 players including hundreds of corporate team building outings, school groups, and non-profit organizations. Beat The Bomb is one of the highest rated experiences in all 3 markets. We offer a full range of special event services including STEM Camps, Kid and Adult Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. We also have a virtual team building platform called Beat The Bomb Virtual, serving remote teams across the globe. Our #1 goal is to ensure every player has a BLAST!
The Philadelphia Location
Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, this will be the Company's 4th location, opening in Fall 2024. The 10,000+ square foot location offers our classic Mission experiences with glass-walled bomb rooms blasting teams with Paint, Foam and Slime; 5 immersive arcade lounges ('Game Bays'); street food and a full selection of beer, wine, cocktails & signature slushies @ The Bomb Bar; a beer garden with sports viewing; and dedicated private event spaces for large groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Event Host plays a crucial role in crafting a unique and memorable experience for Beat The Bomb's guest. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a key member of our event staff, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch food and beverage service during pre-planned events.
Key Responsibilities
- Food & Beverage Safety: Follow all safety and sanitation procedures per the health department and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Menu knowledge: Engage with guests, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate dietary restrictions with enthusiasm and knowledge.
- Cleanliness and restock: Keeping the Beer garden, Event area(s), Game Bay table(s), and seating areas clean and tidy. Restocking all essential supplies as necessary and ready for use
- Order Taking and Payment Processing: Using Toast POS handhelds and POS terminals for order taking, preparing bills and collecting payment
- Communication: Cooperating with kitchen staff and following customer service guidelines.
- Technical ability: Ability to understand and utilize Toast POS system and basic troubleshooting for our Game Bay operations
- Guest Service: Provide outstanding guest service by greeting guests warmly and attending to their needs throughout the event.
- Event Preparations: Set up and break down event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and dining equipment as per event specifications.
- Responsibilities: Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all items are presented attractively.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food and drinks.
- Guest Relations: Working in collaboration with Shift Supervisors and Managers, assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members as needed.

- Required to be Responsible Alcohol service certified through a nationally recognized company such as ServSafe, TIPS, etc.

- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or event hosting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is a plus.
