Summary
This role reports to the Hospitality Manager. The position is currently Mon-Thurs from 10:30 am-3:30 pm. Potential for additional hours based on company events.
Looking for a candidate with experience in the hospitality/service industry who is comfortable with mostly porter work. Job duties include, cleaning, restocking, set up and break down of meals, and some food and beverage handling. This position is responsible for creating a professional atmosphere in corporate conference rooms, pantries, and office café spaces.
Responsibilities include:
Facilities:
- Clean, restock, and maintain conference rooms, kitchen areas, pantries, and office café spaces.
- Report furniture or facility problems in a timely manner.
- Maintains and performs product inventory when applicable
- Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Food & Beverage
- Set-up and break down of conference rooms, pantries, and office café spaces
- Creative eye and attention to detail for food and beverage set-ups.
- As needed, advise the Hospitality Manager when supplies need to be ordered for food and beverage spaces.
- Re-stock office café spaces and pantries including coffee, snacks, paper goods, utensils, and cleaning supplies.
- Clear conference rooms following each use and ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized. Job responsibilities may include cleaning tables, credenzas, chairs, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and/or other food set-up areas.
People:
- Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people and exhibiting a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Utilize a high level of attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Have a positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues that arise.
Office Events & Celebrations
- Support execution of various in-house events including set-ups, food presentations, serving, and breakdown. This includes meetings and events starting before or after hours as needed.
Communication:
- Must have interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, by email, and by telephone. Ability to follow instructions effectively and provide information with courtesy and tact.
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a hospitality role.
- Experience in a porter position (ie sanitation, venue porter, moving furniture and setting up spaces)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
