Event Security Lead (PT)
Location: San Antonio, TX / Non-Exempt
The Event Security Lead (P/T) will provide oversight and technical expertise support for all part time guards and supervisors working on event days at Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field. This position will collaborate with management, other departments, and partners to address security events, risk, and provide timely incident response. This position will be responsible for security monitoring, incident response, and access control management.
Starting pay is $15.00/hr. and will increase to $18.00/hr. after 90 days of employment.
All SS&E Security personal are required to obtain and maintain a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License from the Texas Department of Public Safety within the first 90 days of employment. The pay increase is contingent on obtaining a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License. Failure to obtain a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License within the first 90 days may result in termination of employment.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing security policies, procedures, and standards as aligned with SS&E values.
- Supervises assigned guards and supervisors in accordance with policies and procedures while addressing complaints and resolving any issues that arise.
- Establishes, cultivates, and maintains effective relationships with management, peers, outside agencies, and subordinates.
- Ability to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Handles the training for new guards on department equipment to include X-ray machines and their operations, magnetometers, hand wanding and proper bag search procedures.
- Additional duties may be assigned by Security Management.
Who You Are:
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective and efficient leadership skills requiring tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.
- Ability to achieve and maintain a State Security license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Must have knowledge and be physically able to demonstrate proficiency with all security equipment, such as walkthrough magnetometer, x-ray machines, and handheld wands.
- Must be able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnight and holidays.
- Must comply with the minimum attendance policy.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions.
