Job Location: Petaluma, California
Job Type: Temporary (December - January 7th)
Pay Rate: $24-$25/hour (increased pay for working holidays)
Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 10am - 10pm (shifts, days, and hours may vary)
Description of Position:
Are you looking to earn extra holiday money? We are seeking energetic and customer-focused individuals to join our team for a winter season event at an ice rink in Petaluma. Event staff will assist with various tasks, including guest check-in, skate fittings, cash handling, and general customer service. This temporary position will run from the second week of December through January 7th. There will be a group orientation/training in mid-November.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and checking in guests efficiently and courteously
- Assisting guests with skate fittings and ensuring proper sizes
- Handling cash transactions for ticket sales, skate rentals, and merchandise purchases
- Providing exceptional customer service, answering guest inquiries, and resolving issues
- Ensuring a safe, clean environment by monitoring the rink and nearby areas
- Supporting operations such as line management and equipment organization
- Maintaining a positive attitude to contribute to a fun, upbeat guest experience

Experience Required:
- Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply
- Prior experience in customer service or event staffing preferred
- Basic cash handling skills; experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large crowds
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
