Event Support Specialist - TechDigital

About the Job
Roles & Responsibilities:
* The position is responsible for the operational excellence of our meetings/events and the holistic guest experience including but not limited to: customer meetings, executive receptions, intimate dinners, town halls and employee events
* Continuously research and report innovative and creative event and entertainment options
* Solid office management / workplace environment knowledge
* Strong customer service and executive interaction experience
* Ability to multi-task many projects at one time
* Candidate should have strong time management and analytical skills, be organized and meticulous
* Quickly recognize, adapt and respond to changing market and company environments
* Self-motivated and driven to very high standards
* Research and recommend innovative and creative event options and entertainment based on program format and budget
* Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms for goods and services
* Pre, onsite and post event logistical management
* Key stakeholder for G-Cal calendar management for internal event space
* Assist with space set-up & tear down (physical furniture moves)
* Ordering equipment & catering, scheduling deliveries & staffing
* Managing 3rd party presence (booths, office hours, etc.)
* Help coordinate and run in-office events including communications, food & beverage, set-up, tear down, and clean up
Required Skills
* 2+ years' relevant work experience (events experience preferred)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Google Suite programs (Gmail, Gcal, Sheets, and Slides)
* Highly personable and customer service focused with great attention to detail
* Ability to work a flexible schedule (including some nights and weekends) as needed
Preferred Skills
* Office management experience preferred
* Previous experience working in hi-tech, hospitality fast-paced environments preferred but not required
