Events Management Lead - Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Summary

This position is in the Operations Division, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The position reports to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO). The Events Management Lead serves as a technical authority, analyst and advisor on a wide range of issues related to the management, governance and execution of Bureau events.

Responsibilities

As an Events Management Lead, you will:

• Establish and continuously refine the vision, mission and strategy for the Bureau's Events Management Team.
• Lead the strategic direction, planning, execution and management of all Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) sponsored events including those hosted at Bureau offices and at offsite, non-CFPB locations including: CFPB all-staff, Office of Minority and Women Inclusion and Employee Resource Group events, Mandatory Classroom Training, Consumer Advisory Board meetings, Symposia, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) meetings, Field engagements, division all-staff and regional meetings and other applicable events.
• Coordinate with offices across the Bureau to develop policies, processes, and checklists to ensure the efficient and effective organization, coordination and logistics of Bureau events.
• Manages all components of an event and executes event planning strategy for Bureau events including planning, on-the-ground execution, and after-action review of events.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a staff of employees.
• Oversee Interagency Agreement and contract support for events management services.
