Why We Need Your Talents:
The EVS Shift Manager reports to the Director of EVS is responsible for the successful operation management of the EVS department and Sanitation Departments at Live! Hotel Casino & Hotel. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness for the overall property and administrative support areas, through efficient supervision, scheduling, direction, inspection and training.
Responsibilities:

- Manage staff members delegate duties and assign responsibilities, inspect and offer positive & opportunity feedback.
- Efficiently administer EVS department within approved budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests and team members by maintaining a clean facility.
- Manage processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
- Ensure guests and team members enjoy the service of the facility that is maintained at the highest standard.
- Manage scheduling and staffing levels to be consistent with budgeted levels.
- Manage staff members by the delegation of duties and assign responsibilities.
- Conducts interviews for hiring, ensures proper staff training and performance evaluations, coaches team member for performance improvement and issues discipline as needed.
- Management of department’s financial data maintain inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Communicate with leadership on department needs to improve services. Training in the use of supplies, equipment, chemicals, and MSDS.
- Good public communication skills and associations with vendors, contractors, city inspectors, and state fire and police associations.
- Meet with departmental leaders as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time. Read and understand blue prints, schematics, written technical, and basic instructions.
- Good communication and public relation skills.
- Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
- Ability to manage subordinate team members and interact and develop outstanding working relationships with members of the Casino Cage, Slot Management, Table Games Management, Player Development / Casino Hosts and the Executive Team.
Must-Haves:
- Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a large working facility, hotel, casino, commercial office or plant operations. Two years’ experience directly supervising processes and personnel.
- A 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming commission.
