Mon-Friday Shifts can vary from 11am-730pm or 10am-630pm. On call is required every other weekend.
EVS Supervisor FT Rotating Position Summary
Single departmental function supervision and/or shift supervision in accordance with hospital policy. Responsible for the daily administration of tasks, scheduling and problem solving related to assigned areas. Supervises environmental services staff, coordinates and schedules efforts of the housekeepers. Plans work and trains new employees. Plans monthly cleaning schedule. Collects data for budgets. Assists in evaluation, disciplinary, and employee problems. Assists in selecting new employees, checking discharges, and daily cleaning. Position is responsible for meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to prioritize projects and handle changing needs of the facility. Must have good customer service skills. Must have good knowledge of all Environmental Services functions.
THE EVS SUPERVISOR FT ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years environmental service experience in an acute care or healthcare environment a Must!
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year supervisory experience preferred.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Internal Housekeeping Association Certification
