Mercyhealth System WI & IL is currently seeking board-certified experienced Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons to join our excellent team of trauma and general surgeons in Janesville Wisconsin and Rockford Illinois!

Mercyhealth is a multi-regional, integrated health system comprising of 7 hospitals, more than 700 employed physicians, over 80 outpatient clinics and other service sites that provide care to residents in more than 55 communities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We provide over 125 specialty and sub-specialty services, including adult and pediatric critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Da Vinci robotic surgery, Watchman, and much more!

Opportunities: Full Time, PRN, System Wide Coverage

• Full Time - Eight 24-hour in-house shifts per month covering emergency department, inpatient consults, and inpatient service. No clinic.
• Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center is a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Must have extensive experience in trauma resuscitation and emergency general surgeryfellowship not required, but minimum post-training experience of two years is highly desired.
• Single surgeon coverage with backup available.
• Midlevel coverage 0700-1700; While Midlevels are onsite, they manage notes, orders, and rounding. They also see most postoperative and post-discharge patients.
• Available inpatient consultants include critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, ENT, urology, hospitalist, and all medical subspecialties.
• EPIC EMR
• 24/7 emergency departments.
