FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN is a national nonprofit impacting generational change by giving children and families the ability to create a new story. We do this by providing children facing the greatest obstacles with a long-term, paid professional mentor, called a Friend, from kindergarten through high school graduation – 12+ years, no matter what. Founded in 1993, Friends of the Children reaches thousands of children in 33 locations across our national network. Friends of the Children-Utah launched its chapter in 2020.
Position Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Executive Director, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the organization's overall success. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support:
- Manage and coordinate the Executive Director's calendar, scheduling meetings, travel, and appointments.
- Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and reports.
- Conduct research and gather information as needed.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Office Administration:
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Development and Marketing Support:
- Assist with donor database management and stewardship.
- Prepare grant proposals and reports.
- Coordinate fundraising events and activities.
- Assist with event planning and logistics.
- Research corporate, community and individual prospects for fundraising.
- Support corporate communications and marketing efforts including social media newsletters, and team communications.
- Program Support:
- Provide administrative support to the program team as needed.
- Assist with data entry and reporting.
- General Administrative Tasks:
- Greet and assist visitors.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- File and organize documents.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in social media platforms, graphic design, and marketing materials preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

HOURLY
$17.00 - $23.00 Hourly, DOE
