Your role as a Executive Assistant
The Full-Time Executive Assistant at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board plays a crucial role in managing the Office of the Executive Director. You will work directly with the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, and Senior Management staff to ensure the smooth operation of the office and meet the day-to-day administrative needs of the Executive Director's office and the 15-member Board of Directors. This position involves supervising clerical staff and coordinating all meeting preparations, including agendas and documentation, while attending Board meetings, work sessions, and committee meetings to take notes, write reports, and compose speeches.
You will interact professionally with Board members, management, and the public while maintaining files and historical records, performing essential research, and managing communication for the Executive Director. Your ability to establish guidelines and enhance workflow will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate task completion in this dynamic organizational setting.

Requirements for the position are:
- Associate's Degree in Business Science and three (3) years experience or five (5) years of executive secretarial experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Human Services experience a plus.
