Job Title: Executive Assistant - Our Kids First Initiative
Location: Remote (with flexible schedule for community events)
Position Type: Contract (15 hours/week, with potential for additional projects)

Overview:
The United Way serving Howard and Tipton Counties seeks an organized and professional Executive Assistant to support our Chief Engagement Officer in the Our Kids First Initiative. This short-term contract position is essential for enhancing community engagement and supporting families in Howard and Tipton counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Schedules: Create and maintain the executive's calendar and make travel arrangements as needed.
- Handle Communications: Answer phone calls, prioritize emails, and respond to correspondence promptly.
- Prepare Documents: Create reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, or presentation software.
- Coordinate Meetings: Prepare agendas, arrange catering, and coordinate with other parties for effective meeting management.
- Coordinate Logistics for Community Events: Assist in the set-up and tear-down of booth tents, ensuring all materials are organized.
- Engage with Community Stakeholders: Represent the initiative professionally and effectively communicate with community members.
- Maintain Organization: Keep project files and documentation organized and up to date.
- Prepare Reports and Summaries: Develop concise reports for meetings and community updates.
- Utilize Scheduling Software: Manage calendars and appointments effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong phone etiquette and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor in conduct, communication, and appearance.
- Reliable transportation is required for event attendance.
- Must have access to a computer and phone for work purposes.
- Willingness to lift minimal weights and stand during events.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily remote, with flexible hours required to support community events with appropriate notice.
- Average weekly hours will be 15, with opportunities for additional projects based on skills and availability.
Additional Information:
- This contract position is short-term, concluding in approximately two months unless additional funding is secured for the initiative.
