About the Job
The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) is a national association that supports Network members in their research, training, education, and service so that together, AUCD and Network members can promote the quality of life, health, and well-being of people with disabilities.
We are looking for our next great Executive Assistant to assist, support, and coordinate activities related to the daily functions of the Office of the Executive Director.
The Executive Assistant:
- Acts as a liaison between the Executive Director and the Operations, Communications, Public Health, Public Policy, IT Web Services, LEND, and UCEDD teams.
- Interfaces with and provides general support to the Board for all activities, meetings, calendar maintenance, and the annual election process.
- Serves as the official public representative of the Office of the Executive Director working closely with external parties to manage invitations and appearances.
- Engages directly with a variety of diverse stakeholders within the AUCD Network and external partners, event coordinators, venues, and vendors.
- Coordinates accessibility and accommodations for meetings and events within the AUCD central office and across teams.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of progressively growing administrative experience with demonstrated experience providing. administrative support to executive leadership in a non-profit environment.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills.
- Demonstrated written and spoken communication skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- An undergraduate degree, and/or
- Lived experience with disability or experience working with and support people with disabilities, and/or
- Demonstrated understanding of accessibility requirements and the accommodation process, and/or
- Prior experience facilitating and coordinating accessibility and accommodation needs.

The beginning salary for this role is between $75,000 to $77,000 paid semi-monthly.
