Our Culinary team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is currently looking for a highly driven and attentive Executive Banquet Chef. The ideal candidate possesses a keen attention to detail and the leadership skills to inspire a focused and high-performing team while managing the kitchen's daily operations.
Responsibilities:- Direct and oversee all banquet food preparations, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
- Assist in all manner of food prep, inventory, purchasing, and food cost
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation standards
- Assist with completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties
- Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to train and educate team members, enhancing their food knowledge and service skills
- Support in the education of food knowledge with front-of-house team members
- Work closely with the banquets, sales, and brand team to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Passionate about culinary arts, details, and elevated service
- Advanced knowledge of restaurant and culinary operations with a minimum of 2 years of similar experience
- A strong leader with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and achieving financial performance targets
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
