Sodexo is seeking a Executive Chef 2 for Warren Wilson College in the Western North Carolina Mountains just minutes outside of Asheville, NC. They are proud to be the premiere work college in the country. Here they maintain a garden and farm on campus where we purchase many items that we use in our food prodution.  We also have a goal of serving as much locally grown food as possible and we were just awarded a 3-star Green Restuarant certification.  Farm to table and sustainability are part of the DNA here.  The Executive Chef will be responsible to make sure that we further our local food purchasing and food related sustainability efforts.  The Executive Chef will also be a face of the foodservice among our college students with many one on one interactions. This position will also help create menus and events that showcase our own food grown on campus as well as locally sourced seasonal food products.  This is a great place for a chef to showcase their skills and be proud of the sustainability efforts of Warren Wilson College for whom we partner.

• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; 
• have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
• demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS), Drive and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates.

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties

- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
