Sodexo is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at
Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare located in Tallahassee, FL.

The Executive Chef 2 at this long-term Blue-Chip account will manage a team of approximately 25 client staff, plan, organize and manage the daily food production within the hospital, as well as culinary operations for all food outlets including patient dining, café and catering services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Excellence: Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals with impeccable presentation for patients, ensuring consistency and attention to detail in every dish.
- Menu Development: Create and execute rotating menus that meet dietary needs and preferences, while maintaining the highest standards of taste and visual appeal.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor the kitchen team, providing training and guidance to maintain a high level of culinary performance.
- Patient Satisfaction: Elevate the patient dining experience by ensuring food quality, safety, and service standards are met or exceeded.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee food production, inventory management, and kitchen operations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with healthcare foodservice regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nutrition teams, dietitians, and clinical staff to align food service with patient care goals.
Ideal Candidate:
- Culinary Expertise: Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management. A culinary degree or formal training is preferred but not required.
- Restaurant or Healthcare Experience: Experience in a high-level culinary environment is essential. We welcome candidates from restaurant backgrounds looking for more structure and work-life balance, as well as those with experience in healthcare food service.
- Passion for Food: Must be hands-on and genuinely passionate about food and cooking. Understanding of dietary requirements and special diets is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Focused on consistency, presentation, and delivering the best culinary experience possible.
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working in a healthcare setting or cooking for patients is a plus, though not mandatory.
