Sodexo Universities Segment has a great opportunity to grow your culinary career! We are currently seeking an
Executive Chef 3 to oversee the culinary operations at American University Law School located in Washington, DC.
As an Executive Chef, you will be at utilizing local and organic ingredients when available to create mouthwatering dishes that delight our guests. Picture yourself in our dynamic kitchen, overseeing multiple locations and catering. You will be the driving force behind our culinary operations, ensuring that our line cooks deliver perfection on each plate. Your expertise and guidance will shape the flavors, presentation, and quality that our patrons crave.
The successful candidate will:
- be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
- manage food costing, controls and compliance
- ability to develop menus
- have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
- have the ability and willingness to develop and train front-line employees
- have a passion for food and innovation
- have knowledge of special diets and allergens
- knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (DRIVE) is preferred
- Knowledge of Market Connection
- Knowledge of the Purchase Awareness Monitor
- Knowledge of Sodexo Physical & Food Safety Standards (Eco Sure)

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
