Gecko Hospitality is conducting a confidential search for an Executive Chef on behalf of a highly respected and well-established restaurant in Miami, FL. Position Overview:
The Executive Chef will play a pivotal role in leading the culinary operations. This includes full oversight of menu development, food preparation, kitchen leadership, and quality control. The selected candidate will work closely with ownership and management to continue elevating the guest experience while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
- Develop seasonal and innovative menus that reflect the restaurantÂ’s brand and commitment to quality.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation meet the highest standards.
- Implement and manage kitchen inventory controls, including purchasing, stock levels, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with management on operational strategies to drive revenue growth and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Mentor, train, and develop kitchen staff to reach their full potential.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in an Executive Chef or senior Sous Chef role within a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Expertise in menu development, cost control, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing, mentoring, and training kitchen staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and management.
- A culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred but not required if supported by significant experience.
