About Opera House Players, Inc.:
Opera House Players, Inc. is a dedicated community theater organization committed to delivering high-quality theatrical productions. We are currently in an exciting phase of growth and renovation, and we seek a dynamic and experienced Interim Executive Director to lead us through this period.
Position Summary:
The Interim Executive Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's budget, programs, and projects. This includes serving on the Fundraising and Operations Committees, as well as overseeing the phase one renovation of our historic building at 100 High Street and providing support to any other committees as requested. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit management, budget oversight, and project management, with a working knowledge of fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff and volunteers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
- Actively participating as a member of the Fundraising and Finance Committee as an integral member of the future development of the organization.
Budget Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the organization’s budget in collaboration with the Finance Committee.
- Ensure financial stability and sustainability through strategic planning and monitoring.
Program and Project Management:
- Oversee all programs and projects to ensure they align with the organization’s mission and goals.
Fundraising and Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies as an integral part of the Fundraising Committee.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities and other funding sources.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff and volunteers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in nonprofit management and leadership roles.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget oversight and financial reporting.
- Grant researching and writing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Working knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the arts and community engagement.
