Compensation: $125,000 to $145,000

WSE also holds partnerships with 100 rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.
We are seeking an Executive Producer to lead the creation of podcasts and longform talk-centric shows across our network of brands, with a focus on women sports, current events and entertainment. The ideal candidate will have a track record of producing standout episodic talk shows, programming digital channels (e.g. YouTube and podcast RSS feeds), and giving on-set direction to high-profile talent. They’ll also possess a strong editorial point of view, be an enthusiastic creative collaborator and have extensive knowledge of social platforms and related audience preferences. A passion for trends across the entertainment and sports zeitgeist and strong knowledge of star women athletes and media personalities is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall creative and content production of sports and entertainment talk shows
- Contribute to the ideation and development of new series
- Develop unique tone of voice and editorial direction for digital series
- Produce and manage high-profile talent including professional athletes and established creators
- Develop episodic prep process, including topic ideation, guest research and the production meeting schedule
- Manage producers and video editors to meet deadlines and editorial standards of WSE
- Direct programming strategy and long term content planning for each series
- Collaborate with sales team to efficiently execute all ads and brand partnership obligations
- Oversee and produce event and on-location episodes when necessary
- Mentor, support and create growth opportunities for your team of direct reports. Set a positive, collaborative, respectful work example for fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years producing compelling digital content at a manager level
- Minimum 4 years producing compelling podcasts or talk-centric digital content
- A highly creative storyteller. Ability to write, produce, manage, and execute projects from start to finish in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Experience leading a team of other producers and overseeing a content slate
- Expert knowledge of YouTube best practices and podcast platforms
- Self-starter, with the ability to anticipate obstacles and problem-solve under pressure
- Strong experience organizing production workflows and assets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of digital media trends and how audiences consume content across platforms
- Highly skilled in time management, overseeing multiple projects and priorities

This role is a full-time position with a base salary range of $125,000 to $145,000/year, and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's experience level and qualifications. Physical Requirements Work Environment
- Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
- The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
- Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
- Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
- The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
