Position Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing PE-backed manufacturing company based in the Chicago Metro Area, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead and scale the organization. The CEO will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the company meets its growth and profitability targets. This individual will work closely with the executive team and private equity stakeholders to set the company’s strategic direction and execute on its operational goals. The role requires a commitment to being on-site 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s overall strategic vision and execution to drive growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term business goals.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans, including expansion initiatives, market penetration, and product development.
- Collaborate with the board of directors, private equity stakeholders, and the executive team to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategic objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture by leading, mentoring, and developing the senior management team to execute operational strategies.
- Manage and oversee the company’s financial performance, including budget management, cost optimization, and revenue generation.
- Identify and lead M&A opportunities or strategic partnerships to expand the company's market reach and product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards while maintaining a focus on sustainability and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in the manufacturing sector, preferably within a PE-backed company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead growth initiatives, drive operational excellence, and manage complex manufacturing operations.
- Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational leadership.
- Experience with M&A, strategic partnerships, or similar initiatives in the manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to engage with and manage relationships with private equity stakeholders and board members.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
