The Impact You Will Have
Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Line of Business (LoB) targets regionally in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

1. Participate in the development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for LoB(s) and work closely with Market Management, Claims, and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
2. Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets.
3. Negotiate price and terms and conditions with producers.
4. Underwrite in line with Financial Lines governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles.
5. Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes.
6. Contribute to development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for LoB regionally.
7. Training, developing, and coaching of less experienced staff (including Underwriters).
8. Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and producer negotiations where necessary).
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk managers).

What You’ll Bring to the Role

1. 7-10 years experience in proven track record in Underwriting profitable business in LoB. Good understanding of LoB products and portfolio.
2. 7-10 years experience in demonstrating established relationships with brokers at peer group level and established within market.
3. 7-10 years experience in understanding of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape.
4. College degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration.
5. Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII).

The annualized base pay range for this role is $166,773 - $285,828. The annual base salary range represents nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
