About the Role
As EVP of Operations, you will plan and direct all aspects of operations, objectives, and initiatives that have been assigned. Responsible for the execution of short and long-term financial and operational goals in accordance with objectives established by the CEO and board of directors.
Duties
- Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon operational organization goals and objectives.
- Fiscally responsible for asset allocation, expense control, and inventory management by achieving & exceeding budgeted earnings within grain & agronomy operations.
- P&L, CAPX and asset management.
- Responsible for driving the company to achieve profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
- Lead the development of strategic initiatives to enhance market share.
- Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls under operations for the direction of the organization.
- Ensure operational activities are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Responsible for being a champion of safety compliance throughout organization.
- Ensure all risk management policies are followed.
- Directs the development of the organization and its people to ensure current performance and future growth.
- Coaching Hub Leads for operational efficiency.
- Logistics/transportation management.
- Provide a leadership role in strategic planning.
- Ensure that all departments effectively communicate with each other to maximize the efficiency of the company.
- Maintain and build upon relationships with end users.
- Promote Teamwork and Communication for employees and patrons.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (agriculture, business or similar discipline preferred) and 10 years in a management position and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MUST have grain and retail experience
- Demonstrated leadership in the agriculture industry and clearly articulates vision, strategy, and proposals.
- Experienced in corporate development, strategy, data analytics, or related fields that include identifying and executing business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating projects with internal and external resources.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Able to define problems, collaborate with team members, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Professional, friendly, and outgoing disposition; Ability to work respectfully with the internal team, as well as external partners is paramount to success.
- Self-motivated and organized with attention-to-detail.
- Ability to understand the customer, competitive landscape, and remain current on style, design, and industry trends.
