Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Vice President, Program Success (EVP,PS) will drive the priority actions to advance global network engagement, and bring to light a stronger YouthBuild Global that is delivering on an enhanced value proposition as a brand steward; a supporter of state, local, and international coalitions; a federal advocate; a movement builder; and a best-in-class fundraising engine for local programs.
The EVP, PS will support, galvanize, and integrate the efforts of three senior leaders: Vice President of DOL Program Impact, Vice President of AmeriCorps, and Senior Director of Network Engagement. These leaders currently support diverse teams of 6-10 field-facing staff, providing technical assistance, performing monitoring and compliance, and serving as intermediaries for public and private funding distributed to the local programs for capacity building, program support, and contract operations. They will build a unified, integrated field services team that offers world-class support to programs regardless of their funding source or contract.
The EVP, PS will embody network engagement. They will ensure that as we convene, lead, partner, and champion, we increase connective tissue across the global network of YouthBuild programs, foster a movement of all Opportunity Youth-serving organizations, and transform the work to create durable pathways towards opportunity and grounded in self-determination.

Requirements
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Program Success and Development
- Supporting the Network Engagement team, ensure our network evolution strengthens our relationship with global programs. In partnership with our state coalitions and collaboratives, including the coalition of international programs, support the 2024 - 2028 strategic action plan to center long-term sustainability through funding and technical assistance for existing programs and cultivate the seeds necessary to allow for future growth.
- Amplify the vision for the present and future of YouthBuild Global, inspiring, and motivating others to unify the efforts of field-facing units at the organization and galvanize the entire network, to have a greater impact and program success focus, and continuous improvement mindset to meet the needs of the programs, and the young people YouthBuild programs serve.
- Provide strategic leadership in developing and achieving annual program goals and objectives; co-creating processes to document and monitor the work that measures success, and ensuring they are properly captured in Salesforce.
- Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and success across all YouthBuild Global program initiatives, events, trainings, and technical assistance.
- Continuously monitor implementation and evaluation of the YouthBuild model across all program types to ensure the “soul” of YouthBuild is present, outcomes increase, and the lives of young people are transformed; create tools and tactics to support local programs’ ability to successfully implement the model and offer guidance when programs demonstrate that they are deviating from the model or falling short of essential program elements or best measures of program success.
- Support the development and implementation of YouthBuild’s new data reporting and evaluation tool, Data YouthBuild (DYB) 2.0
- Oversee teams that support program development, implementation, and evaluation while leveraging DYB, monitoring reports, and using data to inform organizational decision-making; drive strategies that empower local programs to deliver positive youth development, education, workforce development, and community engagement.
Organizational Success
- Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer, the full ELT, and field-facing teams across the organization to implement, measure, and refine the strategic transformation of YouthBuild Global into a best-in-class global organization that understands and supports Opportunity Youth.
- Catalyze the leadership of three senior leaders (two vice presidents and a senior director), facilitating alignment and connection on annual goals and objectives across departments, and catalyze local YouthBuild program leaders across the global network.
- Ensure that YouthBuild Global team members have a learning orientation and remain current regarding best practices, relevant research, policy and other pertinent developments connected to the YouthBuild model and approach across all our geographies. Drive innovation derived from feedback from the global network and implement fundable pilots and initiatives to the point of proof of concept.
- Creatively solve problems and name opportunities to strengthen the organization’s culture, systems, practices and behaviors for greater impact.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
Financial and Partnership Success
- Support the continued financial sustainability of YouthBuild Global’s program model through sound fiscal management, grant and contract budget development and oversight.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships and relationships, and create external opportunities that increase the visibility of YouthBuild Global, local programs, and Opportunity Youth and inspire continued collaboration and movement building.
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with at least 10+ years of relevant non-profit experience with affiliated networks, and international programming a plus.
- Strong understanding of Opportunity Youth, Positive Youth Development (PYD), Workforce Development, and Educational Programming in the U.S. and other geographies.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access, and Belonging (DEIAB); with an ability to listen for understanding, and valuing of others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership development skills, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse, and dispersed teams.
- Excellent organizational, strategic, and planning skills.

- Innate growth mindset, human nature wisdom, and experience navigating and driving transformational change.
- Strong developer of people; executive coaching experience a plus.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Previous experience as an Executive Leader.
- Experience working effectively with youth development programs serving young people from diverse communities; understanding of federally funded programs.
- Experience with program design and implementation.
- Unwavering commitment to quality programs, excellence, and success in organizational and project management, with the ability to achieve strategic objectives while simultaneously managing multiple program budgets.
- Proven ability to establish and steward external relationships, including relationships with public and private funders.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills; persuasive, credible and polished communicator; ideally, s/he will have served as an effective spokesperson at the national level, with international experience a plus.
- Extreme flexibility and adaptability, with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed with demonstrated passion for YouthBuild’s model and mission.

Compensation
$125,000 - $140,000/annual salary range. YouthBuild Global offers competitive salary and benefits, including health coverage, a 401(k) savings plan, life insurance, and disability benefits. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
