Job DescriptionWe seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess patients' physical conditions, develop tailored exercise plans, and guide them toward improved health and well-being. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients achieve their fitness goals, manage chronic conditions, and lead healthier lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' fitness levels, medical history, and health goals.
- Personalized Exercise Programs: Develop and implement customized exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs, considering their physical abilities, medical conditions, and lifestyle.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor patients' progress, adjusting exercise plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Education and Coaching: Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, healthy lifestyle choices, and injury prevention. Provide ongoing health coaching and motivation to help patients stay on track with their fitness goals.
- Record Maintenance: Accurately document patient assessments, exercise plans, progress, and any changes in their health status.
- Service Delivery: Deliver sport and rehabilitative training or exercise physiology services at designated service provision sites, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Fitness Assessments: Conduct non-diagnostic fitness assessments, including sub-maximal bicycle or treadmill tests, body fat analysis, flexibility, and strength evaluations.
- Program Design and Evaluation: Design, implement, and evaluate individual and group exercise physiology programs, ensuring they meet the specific needs of patients.
- Site Management: Maintain the appearance and functionality of service provision sites in accordance with guidelines.
- Education: Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field, or equivalent education.
- Experience: At least three years of management experience in a corporate fitness or health club setting.
- Certification: At least one acceptable national W/F Certification (group exercise certification may be required) and proof of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) necessary for re-certification.
- Practical Experience: A minimum of 600 hours (approximately 4 months) of practical experience in providing fitness testing and exercise prescriptions, including cardio-respiratory endurance, body fat analysis, flexibility, and strength.
- Certifications: Must possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Medical Terminology: Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Patient Service: Ability to perform patient assessments focusing on exceptional patient service.
- Exercise Physiology Principles: Strong knowledge of exercise physiology principles and the ability to apply them in a practical setting.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Certification as an Exercise Physiologist or in a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, providing rehabilitative exercise programs.

Compensation - Min: $90,000| Max: $115,000
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Benefits - This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
