Our client operates business units specializing in the design and manufacturing of industrial systems for diverse markets worldwide. As a Processing Specialist you will act as a liaison between manufacturing floor and the engineering department. You will be responsible for reviewing parts/assemblies and determining which projects are better to make internally vs. sending them to outside resources.
Salary
$55,000-60,000/year (Depending on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and verify engineer drawings
- Analyze cost effectiveness for in-house or out-sourced manufacturing
- Create requisitions for out-sourced purchases
- Create manufacturer operational routing/sequencing
- Materials required
- Manufacturing operations requirements and order
- Create work orders
- Verify existing inventory for release
- Requisition for materials
- Issue and release documents
- Effectively communicate with internal groups regarding orders in a clear and concise manner to ensure a timely processing
Education & Required Skills:
- 2 year technical degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years experience in production line manufacturing or processing required
- Experience in inventory control and ERP systems a plus
- Strong ability to read prints
- Strong knowledge of production line manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of cost analysis
- Intermediate user level proficiency of ERP Systems (Dynamics preferred)
