State and Local Tax (SALT) Experienced Associates serve as members of various client service teams. Experienced Associates receive both formal and on-the-job training to hone and develop their technical knowledge.  Experienced Associates prepare corporate state and local income tax filings, extensions, estimates and all supporting state apportionment, taxable income and modification workpapers. 

In addition to the preparation of state and local tax returns, Experienced Associates participate in the state and local tax planning, modeling, conduct research and consult on a variety of matters for corporate clients

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Long Island, the expected salary range for this role is $75,000 to $115,100; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree and/or an advanced degree in Accounting;
• A minimum GPA of 3.0;
• At least 1 year of tax preparation experience;
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills;
• Proficient use of tax preparation software, Oncesource or GoSystems RS preferred;
• Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Proficient use of technology including MS Excel; and
• Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.
