With the hiring of a new Executive Chef, Kat Wiggs, Drum & Quill is the hottest gastropub pub in the area. The "Drum" represents famous golf writer Bob Drum, and the "Quill" represents the pen he used to immortalize Arnold Palmer as they founded Golf's Pro Grand Slam.
Drum & Quill is a legendary historic pub in a landmark building in the heart of Old Town Pinehurst. Authentic pubs were the bedrock of a young nation because they were traditional establishments that provided travelers with the comforts of food, drink, local music, a room, and maybe feeding their horses. This Bartender Apprentice position is intended to go to Full Time after a week for the right Experienced Bartender. Do people applaud when you muddle the fruit & bitters to make an Old Fashioned? Do you make a Martini so good that there is a line to get into where you are a bartender? Do you also have the ability to wait on tables so well that people think you're a rockstar? Main Responsibilities of a Bartender:
● Taking and serving orders
● Preparing beverages for customers
● Recommending beverages based on bar customers' needs and preferences
Bartender Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified bartender who can provide our customers with an outstanding guest experience. The Bartender must be able to meet all the needs of our customers, compelling them to come back again.
Making beverage recommendations based on the needs and preferences of bar customers is a crucial factor for improving the guest drinking experience and our bar's profitability. Communicating with guests professionally and friendly is essential for an excellent customer experience.
A good job candidate must be able to perfectly prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which includes mixing ingredients to prepare classic and innovative cocktails. They also need to keep the bar clean and well-organized and ensure it is always fully stocked.
Responsibilities of a Bartender:
● Taking orders and serving drinks and snacks to bar customers
● Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
● Mixing classic and innovative cocktails
● Communicating with customers in a friendly and professional manner
● Nurturing customers to provide an exceptional guest experience
● Making menu recommendations based on customers' needs and preferences
● Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and well-organized
● Checking customers' IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
Bartender Job Requirements:
● Experience as a bartender
● Knowledge of preparing and mixing beverages
● A bartending certificate is a plus
● Basic computer and math skills
● Strong teamwork and communication skills
● Professional and cheerful disposition
● Ability to keep the bar clean, stocked and well-organized
● Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts
