Cook for the beautiful

Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced AM Restaurant Line
Cook to join our outstanding culinary team! This vital role will work
closely with the Director of Culinary and Culinary Leaders to ensure
successful execution of all operations relating to the culinary department,
resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated
individual will be able to work saute, grill, and garde manger stations.
To candidate will prepare all hot/cold food items and be responsible for
consistency and quality production and ensure all food is served according to
specification.
We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing
to a winning team. If you have line cook experience in a hotel environment,
we would love to speak with you about this role.
Salary range for this position: $24.00/hour based on experience. Full
Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following
benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid
Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken Resort
reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on
factors not related to sex or race.
Additional associate benefits offered include golf privileges, discounts at
the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties,
corporate discounts, continued education opportunities and more.
Responsibilities
* Support restaurant chef/sous chef and supervisor
* Assist in training staff.
* Control quality and consistency of all food served.
* Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
* Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on
a timely basis.
* Assist in controlling food costs.
* Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
* Refrigeration and serving of cold food.
* Help to make sure of product availability for all outlets items.
* Directs proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
* Keep kitchen clean and organize every day by any business
* Follow Ecosure rules and procedures.
* Be hands-on control over daily food production.
* Monitors safety in the kitchen.
* Knows hotel and kitchen expectations and the proper guidelines.
* Help to check quality and consistency
Qualifications
Food Handler Certification
Minimum 1-2 years line cook experience; preferably specialized in breakfast
cuisine. Prior experience in a luxury hotel dining re taurant preferred, but
not required.
Display basic to experienced knife skills
Must be able to work saute, grill and garde manger stations.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day
Must be 18+ years or older.
Flexible scheduling to include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
