WORK SCHEDULE:

As a full-time Experienced Diesel Mechanic at Dane Fleet Services, Inc., you will benefit from an 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN EXPERIENCED DIESEL MECHANIC:

You start with precise diagnostic tests on trucks, showcasing your skill in interpreting results to identify malfunctioning components. Seamlessly transitioning into preventive maintenance on service trucks, you undertake inspections, oil changes, and routine service tasks to guarantee the optimal performance of each vehicle. You also engage in inspections on diesel and gasoline trucks, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards.

You respond promptly to service calls and conduct repairs in the field at customer locations. Armed with diagnostic computers and software, you adeptly interpret and rectify fault codes, leaving no technical challenge unmet. Dedication to detail is evident as you maintain meticulous records of serviced vehicles, repairs conducted, and parts & liquids inventory, ensuring operational efficiency. Safety is paramount, adhering to protocols while providing valuable recommendations to customers!

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS AN EXPERIENCED DIESEL MECHANIC:

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment
• Capability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) for diagnosing and repairing intricate components
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
