Experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic Needed - The Inland Northwest - Gpac

We are partnering with a long-established, industry-leading company that is looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team at a shop located in The Inland Northwest area. If you have experience working on trucks and heavy equipment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilites:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of construction equipment, including trucks, hydraulics, brake systems, electrical components, and welding.
• Handle field service repairs as needed.
• Work on different types of equipment, including small vehicles, large trucks, trailers, construction machines, and heavy mining machinery.
• Complete the required paperwork for services performed.
• Use personal journeyman hand tools (larger tools are provided by the company, with a replacement policy).
• Ensure all safety guidelines are strictly followed, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.

Work Environment: This position involves working in an industrial setting with large equipment and potential suspended loads.

Work Hours: The typical schedule is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, though overtime, off-shift work, and weekends may be required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with class 8 trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Strong skills in mechanical troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication abilities are a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (training and expenses for qualifications may be provided).
• A professional and respectful demeanor is required when interacting with team members.
