Role Summary
As a Paralegal at this respected Encino-based firm, you will contribute significantly to the smooth operation and success of the legal team. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of cases and the chance to provide comprehensive support to attorneys, helping to ensure the seamless management of legal tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations to assist in case preparation and strategy.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as briefs, motions, subpoenas, and contracts with high accuracy.
- Maintain and organize case files to ensure easy access to current documentation for the legal team.
- Communicate efficiently with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather relevant information and facilitate case progress.
- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits and managing logistical arrangements.
- Handle the timely filing of legal documents with courts and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
- Manage attorneys’ schedules, track deadlines, and oversee timelines to ensure all legal requirements are met.
- Use legal software and databases to enhance efficiency and streamline case management processes.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- At least 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Paralegal certification is strongly preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related discipline.
