Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for an Export Operations Specialist to join our Logistics Team in Palmetto, GA. Position will oversee daily operations and coordination of the YMUS Export warehouse, including managing goods movement from YMMC, inventory control, and shipments to customers. Will work with the Operations Manager and third-party warehouse management (EFW) to prioritize loads and resolve issues like lost or damaged units and mis-shipments. Additionally, will handle export documentation, such as Bills of Lading and AES filings with US Customs. Will also set up loads based on daily and weekly allocations, monitor production changes, and adjust schedules as needed to ensure smooth operations.

What you'll be doing:
- Develop a comprehensive daily shipping plan by analyzing the production schedule and aligning it with customer allocation requirements. Ensure that all shipments are prioritized and organized efficiently to meet customer demands and maintain smooth operational flow
- Conduct thorough reviews and prepare detailed loading operation sheets on a daily and weekly basis for warehouse staff. These sheets should cover both Pool and Live loads, ensuring that all necessary information is clearly communicated. Issue these operation sheets promptly to facilitate efficient and accurate loading processes, coordinating closely with the warehouse team to address any potential issues or adjustments.
- Track and coordinate with YMMC QA and warehouse for all inbound damage and repair; coordinate with YMUS Service for all internal warehouse damage, parts order, and repair.
- Assists warehouse and Ops manager with the coordination of rework operations (staff, space, units, equipment) with YMMC QA department or YMUS service.
- Continuously monitor and review the 'hold code status' in SAP and Ynspire to ensure units are reworked and returned to inventory, maintaining balanced and accurate inventory levels. Coordinate with all relevant parties, including CBP, for any removal or scrapping of units.
- Assist with any internal JSOX activities and procedures as well as outside (E&Y, KPMG): audits, resolution, and reconciliation of any related issues.
- collaborate with the Export Logistics group of YMUS to manage shipping priorities and work with the warehouse to resolve issues related to cycle counts, lost items, and other discrepancies.
- Manage damage claims from distributors (YMCA) and bill back as needed.
- Support Export Operations and staff with daily tasks and projects, including coordinating and scheduling live loads with various transportation companies. Will handle export paperwork such as Bills of Lading, 7512 T&E, and AES, and prepare and submit U.S. Customs documentation through the Integration Point system.
- Support and manage over 2,200 loads (containers/trucks) annually, handling approximately $400 million in product sales.
What you'll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required; a bachelor's in business administration is preferred.
- Over 7 years in logistics and/or warehousing experience
- Over 4 years of lead experience in a warehouse operation setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with general computer skills.
- Familiarity with SAP and Ynspire.
- Previous inventory control experience is beneficial; forklift certification is a plus.
