We are looking for a Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to support our grocery stores with electrical, mechanical and building maintenance.

We have an on-call structure in which technicians will occasionally be required to travel outside of their respective zones.
What You'll Do
Under limited supervision, to provide maintenance services for all refrigeration, electrical and mechanical equipment at the Distribution Center and Production Bakery. Employees in this job classification act as chief engineer by organizing and prioritizing assignments and providing technical training to other engineers. Stationary Engineers maintain existing systems and install new equipment. This job classification requires knowledge of AC electrical systems including motor control, electronics, refrigeration and mechanical equipment associated with an industrial application and the ability to provide work direction to staff to resolve complex technical problems within established timelines.

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.
Expected Minimum Pay Rate:USD $35.00/Hr.Expected Maximum Pay Rate:USD $45.30/Hr.Responsibilities:- Maintains and evaluates all refrigeration, electrical and mechanical equipment for operational reliability using industry standard best practice and test equipment.
- Inspects, tests, calibrates and certifies sensors, safety equipment, complex refrigeration, electrical and mechanical equipment for compliance with specifications following blueprints, schematic drawings, inspection manuals, using hand tools and precision testing equipment.
- Organizes, directs and controls efforts in accomplishing preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Organizes and prioritizes work requirements to ensure systems meet optimum design capabilities.
- Directs technicians in analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, evaluating and repairing systems, equipment modules and components.
- Maintains the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Maintains the integrity of the insulation of all pipes and vessels.
- Attends regular safety meetings for compliance, proper handling and record keeping of a covered process.
- Assists with on-site construction projects affecting refrigeration, electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Applies understanding of electrical demand usage to minimize consumption and energy costs.
- Conducts safety training on proper handling and record keeping of a covered process.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience & Education
Skills related in multi-craft maintenance.Knowledge of refrigeration, electronics, hydraulic and mechanical concepts and their application on industrial equipment.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair complex industrial refrigeration equipment, fire protection, electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment systems.
- Must possesses the ability to take direction and work directly with refrigeration staff to resolve complex technical problems within established timelines.
- Demonstrated welding skills.
- Ability to read and work from blue prints.
- Ability to make sound decisions during emergency situations
- Ability to work as a team member and team leader with other stationary engineers and facility personnel.
Required & Preferred Certifications
- Universal CFC license
- Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) CIRO certification preferred
- Aerial lift Truck operation certification preferred
Physical Demands - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Walking during inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Bending, stooping and pulling to repair equipment.
- Lifting and manipulating equipment including chemical and oil drums for troubleshooting and repair as needed.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in an industrial warehouse environment. Frequently works with hazardous equipment and chemicals. Frequently exposed to changing environmental conditions
