SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for disbursements, shipping, receiving, tracking and maintaining inventory, repair and return, and identification of parts and supplies. Perform all clerical functions related to the performance of these duties. Perform all other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Comply with Safety and Material Management policies.
• Answer Phones
• Monitor and create reservations from walk-in customers
• Multitasking
• Logging and reporting of all disbursements recieved through Material Control

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated experience using SAP. 
• Demonstrated ability in multi-tasking and meeting deadlines as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment and be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Must be capable of using OHSA forklift.
• Must be DOT HAZMAT certified.

 
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The hourly rate is $26.69 - $35.58 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment). In accordance with DOT regulations (49 CFR § 40.25), Amtrak is required to obtain prior drug and alcohol testing records for applicants/employees intending to perform safety-sensitive duties for covered Department of Transportation positions. If an applicant/employee refuses to provide written consent for Amtrak to obtain these records, the individual will not be permitted to perform safety-sensitive functions.

In accordance with federal law governing security checks of covered individuals for providers of public transportation (Title 6 U.S.C. §1143), Amtrak is required to screen applicants for any permanent or interim disqualifying criminal offenses.
