The Fabrication Engineering Manager will be responsible for creating incremental and sustainable growth and support in the on-going development of the Polaris Boats Metal Fabrication Center of Excellence. (COE). This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development of prints for fabrication, including 3D prints for the laser and for internal & external customers. In addition, this individual will oversee the development and implementation of production plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Oversee the development of prints for fabrication, including 3D prints
· Oversee the development & Implementation of quality methods including Go- No Go gauging, quality audits, plans, and document control
· Oversee the development and implementation of production plans
· Manage team cross functionally to enhance inventory management and material flow
· Responsible for overseeing and implementing process controls
· Responsible for leading the fabrication engineers who are providing ongoing tactical support to the Center of Excellence
· Ensure compliance to maintain Center of Excellence standards
· Lead and participate in various projects & presentations
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field desired
· 2+ years of direct leadership experience preferred or an experienced and proven leader who has the demonstrated ability to lead effective teams
· Demonstrated leadership ability to set goals, delegate and motivate team to achieve those goals
· Strong presentation abilities, including PowerPoint development. Presentations expected.
· Demonstrated ability to lead change
· Excellent written & verbal communication within team and cross-functionally
· Highly organized and effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines
· Effective negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills
· Ability to drive accountability throughout the organization
