- Perform production duties in a GaAs Wafer Fabrication lab. This involves handling of chemicals, microscope inspections, running precision equipment, and processing GaAs wafers to comply with specifications and other requirements.
- Accuracy in process documentation and data entry required.
- Assist in general cleanroom housekeeping responsibilities; some light lifting may be necessary.
- Use computer based system to determine workload
- Work in a clean room environment that requires wearing specialized work clothing and work protocols.
- The Fab Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the operation of equipment and chemical tanks that are used to either Wet or Dry etch substrates. With the operation of several tools Dry (Plasma) Etching uses "High Density Plasma” to remove material on substrates to create depth around substrate devices.
- Wet (Chemical) Etching involves very stringent timing expectations in a chemical bath, which are critical to the second.
- A high attention to detail is necessary for this position. Operator will be responsible for the inspection of substrates with the use of microscope equipment, and must maintain chemicals in the assigned area.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Semiconductor processing experience a plus, but not necessary.
- Ability to learn quickly following verbal and written instructions regarding safety, chemical handling and wafer processing.
- Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company. Ability to work overtime.
- Excellent work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
- Be comfortable using computers and learning new computer programs.
- Able to stand and walk the entire shift.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrating excellent manual dexterity.
