OpSource has partnered with a Structural Steel Company located in Taylors, SC.

Responsibilities

Ensure the production schedule is executed as per planning requirements in the shop and steel processing work centers
Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
Operates / programs CNC Machines - Plasmas; measures and positions material in assigned machine
Programs / operates machine to control speed, material feed and path of cut as well as making sure machine is set up correctly
Monitors/controls and maintains internal systems; including clocking through jobs
Co-ordinate and allocate work to employees in accordance with production plans and work orders
Provide leadership and training to all workers in the shop and steel processing area
Be an active team member providing ideas to improve department structures and procedures to increase productivity
Carry out necessary check and quality assurance
Monitor the use of materials and care of equipment and plant to minimize waste and damage
Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Supports the Product Planning Manager to motivate a team of employees, reviews employee performance and manages performance where required

Any other duties as required or requested by management

Qualifications for the position:

2-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Structural Steel experience a plus
Strong understanding of CNC and relevant machine operating and programming
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to read drawings; job specifications/ instructions
Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work
