Description:
We are a plastic distribution company based in Selkirk, NY looking for a talented individual for the position of a fabricator that will be responsible for fabricating custom tanks & drip pans, pump stations, chemical feed systems, piping assemblies and plastic fabricated components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Working on assigned project individually or with another associate.
- Insure quality standards are being carried out, maintained, and improved.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading to plan and organize work in most efficient and cost effective way.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties to meet production schedules.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools such as power saws, routers, drills, and hand tools.
- Ability to work quickly while doing your job safely.
- Ability to calculate bill of material and cut lists from prints.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
- Clean drivers license
- Ability to travel throughout New York and New England for field installation if necessary.
